Hi Everyone,
Today’s opportunity is as good as it gets in terms of QPR in the Champagne category.
Yes – Champagne costs are at an all-time high, with probably the largest one-year cost increase in the region’s history. We’ve collectively cringed while watching prices at most addresses jump 20-35%.
Not today though, not for you at least! 😉
Today’s Cyber Monday Champagne pack is as glorious as they come, with enthusiastic new 90+ point scores in tow from Decanter’s Clive Pursehouse to double down on the ridiculousness:
Champagne D’Armanville NV Brut Rosé (93 D), normally $40/bottle
“D’Armanville has been making Champagne in the Arce Valley for over 150 years. This rosê offers proper Champagne with all the bells and whistles at under $40. Aromas of wild strawberries and cream, sweet almond pastry cream and cherry blossoms give way to a palate that shows depth and richness. Toasted pastries with wild berry spread are complemented by almond nutty flavors. 93 points.” – Clive Pursehouse, Decanter 1/24
Champagne D’Armanville NV Brut (90 D), normally $45/bottle
“Plenty of chamomile and spice followed by ripe pear and sweet hay aromas mark this value-priced Champagne from the Arce Valley’s D’Armanville, which has been making wine in the region for 150 years. Flavours of bruised apples and toasted biscuit, along with notes of beeswax and a touch of almond cream. 90 points.” – Clive Pursehouse, Decanter 1/24
Why not a set three each for the holidays?!
