Sauvignon Blanc grapes come from young blocks delivering vibrant, youthful wines that are fruit driven and lively with fresh acid and lovely balance.
Vignerons du Pallet 2022 Petites Sardines Muscadet “What could be more natural for a wine that has the Ocean in its DNA than to bear the name of one of the most emblematic fish in its production region? A wine to enjoy fresh with…sardines! This is a fairly small, atypical coop of 10 members, all from Le Pallet in the heart of Muscadet producing 100% Melon de Bourgogne. The nose here, dominated by the fresh aromas brought by the sea spray of the Atlantic, also has light floral notes. The wine is characterized by its finesse and has a slight pearliness that is pleasant on the palate.”
Dr. H. Thanisch Erben Thanisch 2021 Bernkasteler Badstube Riesling Kabinett feinherb The name “Badstube” likely dates back to the Middle Ages. At that time, various hot springs around Bernkastel were used as “baths” and recreational centers. The Bernkasteler Badstube comprises six of the best vineyard sites in Bernkastel: Alte Badstube am Doctorberg, Bratenhöfchen, Doctor, Graben, Lay and Matheisbildchen. The growing site’s soil features fine slate that stores water extremely well. Very lively and fresh Rieslings grow here with a racy and stable acidity and an extraordinary potential for development. The wine shows a pronounced bouquet of very ripe red and yellow fruits with exotic and slightly spicy notes with well-integrated acidity. The slatey minerality so typical of the Mosel adds further complexity. Matches delicate foods excellently. Try this wine with veal, shellfish, roasted poultry or fish.
Tomaiolo 2023 Pinot Grigio The Castellani family winery, which produces Tomaiolo, was founded in 1903 in Italy. To date, their vineyard area of Venezie has more than 250 hectares of land in the most prestigious areas of Chianti Classico, Tuscany and the Pisa hills. Light straw yellow Crispy, fresh and fruity bouquet Very elegant, soft and delicate with hints of hazelnuts to the finish. Ideal with grilled chicken, fish course or salads.
Chateau La Coste 2023 Rosé d’une Nuit Located twenty minutes from the village of Aix-en-Provence, Château La Coste has been practicing biodynamic viticulture for more than twenty years. Separating themselves from an ocean of pink, their wines have a vivid quality of fruit on the palate and finish with a juicy sea-salt minerality. Made from a blend of Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault, and Cabernet, the One Night Rosé bursts with melons, white strawberries, spring flowers, and stony earth. Perfectly light, dry, and packed with flavor, I wouldn’t have my rosé any other way. Pair with grilled fish, lobster salad, and beef carpaccio.
Bodega Pirineos 2023 Orange Pirineos Orange, from Somontano, is a coppery yellow hue because it is fermented in contact with its skins. It comes from Parajes de Lantaron, at the foot of the Candelera mountain range which has predominantly sandy soils. 85% Macabeo, 15% Gewurztraminer this wine has great finesse, freshness and expression. Aromas of candied orange, citrus fruits, quince, etc. Flavorful and with good acidity. Creamy and stimulating. With a lot of flavor and significant structure.
